Lions 4-5 year olds
The weekly programme for Lions prides itself on developing the skills of our younger children following a varied programme of physical, artistic and creative activities designed specially for them . The Lions emphasis is on developing balance, control, and building confidence. We encourage Lions to take part in all activities. Sessions are stimulating, challenging and progressive allowing Lions to learn and enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle early on.
Our trained teachers and instructors work on a 1:8 ratio. For many children, this may be their first time in this type of environment. Our team are trained to encourage and support the Lions every step of the way.
Tigers 6-7 year olds
Our Tigers programme is dedicated to encouraging 6-7 year olds to try new sports and activities while developing skills in sportsmanship and team work. Sessions are structured allowing Tigers to have a fun and exciting time. Our Tigers are encouraged to develop their creative flair, learn new skills and build new friendships in high energy sessions.
Our trained teachers and qualified coaches work on a 1:8 ratio. They are chosen for their motivation, high energy and dedication. The staff encourage tigers to learn new skills and to try their best in all activities offering support and encouragement at every stage.
Panthers 8-9 year olds
The Panthers programme is high energy and full of fun. Our Panthers are supported in realising their potential. They are encouraged to develop skills learnt in a friendly team environment, whilst having the opportunity to learn new sports and try different activities and broaden their experiences. Our aim is motivate and inspire children so they have a fun time.
Leopards 10 plus years plus
Our oldest group the Leopards, are encouraged to improve and develop specific techniques in their chosen sports and activities to encourage personal development in the context of teamwork and mutual support.
Social Services recommendations are that children over the age of 8 should be supervised at a ratio if 1:16 however at Aktiva we aim to keep that tighter…
